MLP-Memories of my Past: Chapter 3.

Princess Luna had outdone herself that night. The Moon was shining, the stars were beautifully positioned revealing the constellations.

Holly was looking at the sky and as always she was thinking about flying.

She heard a voice calling her downstairs and she hurried up. It was her dad.

"Another chapter?" she asked with a smile, Knight and Emerald smiled.

"Yep!" Emerald said "Come here, sit here and listen, because it's now that the things get more interesting!".

Holly sat between them. Knight and Emerald looked at each other and smiled.

"Now" Knight said "Where were we…".

----------------------------------Back to the Past----------------------------------------

Emerald looked at the library once more. She could see Knight's shape at a window looking at a book. Some days have passed since the misunderstood at Pinkie's party, but Emerald was still feeling sad. As much she wanted to apologize she thought that he would never want to see her again. Tears were coming out of her eyes. She heard something behind her and turned around to see her housemates.

"What's wrong?" Lyra asked "You look sad.".

Emerald broke into tears and Bon Bon approached helping her getting up.

"There, there…" she said giving Emerald a hug, Lyra joined them "It's OK… All is going to be OK…".

Bon Bon asked for help to Lyra with her eyes. The unicorn tried her best.

"What's wrong Emerald?" she asked the green pony.

Emerald looked at them and forced a smile "It's nothing…" she said.

The cream colored pony helped her to stand up while Lyra gave her a hug.

"Thanks…" she dried her tears and took breath "It's… There's this pony…".

Lyra and Bon Bon looked at each other with a smile.

"That black stallion with the metal leg…" They seem not amused "I… Well, I always…".

"You love him don't you?" Lyra asked and Emerald just confirmed with her head.

"But I hurt him…" she said "I broke his heart… Sweet Celestia, I'm so stupid!".

"Why don't you apologize?" Bon Bon asked her "He would want you to do it.".

"I don't have the strength to do it…" Emerald explained "Not now… I just need to… Relax and… Let things cool a little…".

Both waved her heads in agreement, everything was a bit boiling now. The oven needed to cool a bit.


Knight focused on the book that was in front of him. The letters appeared to be floating into his head. It was so much information. The theories and everything else, like the book he once founded at… He didn't even want to remember.

"Somehow it's just like that old book…" he said "But… These words are much easier… It's amazing…".

"What's that?" Twilight's voice broke his trances "It's one of my books?".

Knight turned around with a smile in his face and that made Twilight's bones shake.

"Sorry…" he said "I was just taking a look at this wonderful book! Did you know that, for example, unicorn's magic is stronger when they are just little fillies and colts? And that they not only retrieve magic form their own bodies, but from the earth itself?".

Twilight's face was in shock. An earth pony who understood about magic?

"This is fascinating!" Knight said "This book was written by Starswill, the Beard, right?".

"You know Starswill, the Beard?" She asked with surprise in her voice.

"Oh Yeah!" he said "I read everything about him! Oh, and about the spells that he studied!".

Twilight smiled and the dark pony blushed.

"Sorry…" he apologized "I'm talking too much…".

"No!" she said "It's OK! I love a good talk, mainly about magic.".

They stood there looking at each other for a while. Knight was little nervous and Twilight could notice that.

"Hey, why don't we go to take a walk?" she asked "It might be fun!".

Knight didn't even thought, he just shook his head.

"Yeah" he said "A walk would be nice…".

He walked at Twilight's side and they went for a night walk in Ponyville.

While passing through the Carrousel Boutique Knight noticed that Twilight was looking at him with the corner of her eyes, which made him blush a little bit.

"There are many stories about you and your adventures" she said "About how you defeated horrible monsters and about a certain doctor…".

"Oh don't you remind me of that!" he said with a smile "I still have nightmares about it…".

They laughed and Twilight stopped to look at the stars.

"Beautiful night…" she said while arranging her mane "Stars are so bright today.".

Knight looked at her. She had something that he couldn't realize, she had grace in those moves, something that made his fur shiver.

"What?" he realized he was staring at her.

"Oh! Um…" he said "Nothing…".

Twilight realized that he was blushing.

"Let's go back!" she said blushing "You must be tired.".

Knight just shook his head in agreement.

When they got back Spike had already fallen asleep. But Twilight didn't go upstairs. She
stayed down at the kitchen with Knight.

"Want some cider?" she asked "Is form Sweet Apple Acres, best in Equestria!".

"Well…" he said with a smile "I never refuse a good cup of cider!".

He took the cup that Twilight gave to him and they started to drink and talk about magic and the adventures that Knight had.


Some time passed and with it too much cider went down as well.

"And then…" Knight said between a hiccup and a laugh "I said 'Geez don't you know how to relax? Here have a hoof to sleep!'".

Twilight laughed and fell over him. Both were sitting on the floor laughing and really close to each other.

She raised her eyes to look into his. She could be a little drunk, but she could still see his emotions through his eyes. She could felt the loneliness, and the pain that he had been trough.

"So much… Pain…" she said and he looked at her "Why do you feel lonely?".

Knight looked at his metallic leg. The thoughts of his lost friends, family and home came through his mind.

"Knight…" she said and he looked at her.

Those purple eyes where attracting him, but before he could think of doing something she putted her hooves over his face and pulled him towards her.

The kiss almost made Knight's and Twilight's brains melt. He pulled her closer and closer.


Emerald pulled her blanket over herself, but after she could close her eyes she saw that the library was still with one room with the lights on. She could see some shadows, but she couldn't say who was it.

"I think…" she said to Lyra who was brushing her teeth "I'll apologize tomorrow… I've to… Because…".

Lyra raised an eyebrow and Bon Bon suddenly arrived at the room with curiosity. Both waited until Emerald speak.

"…I love him…" she said and both of her housemates jumped on her laughing.

After a great laugh they sat up looking at each other.

"So how you meet?" Bon Bon asked "You and Knight.".

Emerald smiled.

"Well…" she said "I was just a filly when I first meet him, well he was just a little colt as well. You see he ran away from his home, don't ask me why I've never asked him, and he lived in our city for a while. We were good friends and he always made me company when my parents went to work. Some day we were playing and suddenly he gave me a kiss…".

Lyra and Bon Bon giggled at her and she continued.

"I discovered that I was in love with him because… Well… It was my first kiss and it felt amazing…".

Emerald remembered with her friends all the good times she had with Dark Knight at her home town. All of the good memories of her past…

--------------------------------Back to the present---------------------------------------

Holly was already asleep and Dark Knight was taking her to the bed. Emerald was at his side looking to her daughter.

"She's a little angel, isn't she?" she said to him.

"Yes…" he said "Our little angel…".

After putting her to sleep Emerald went to their room and knight went down to the kitchen to have some water. He looked at the window and he could see Twilight's library.

Price was playing at the balcony and Twilight was checking on him.

It was difficult for Knight, he could never put his son to sleep as he did every night with Holly. That was painful, but he had to wait until the right moment.

And the time was approaching…
